Alex the Birthday Boy

Alex's birthday was on Sunday. We have not had the "big birthday party" yet due to a conflict with a friend's party the same weekend as Alex's birthday. He did get to invite three of his friends and Blake to go to a movie and have some ice cream cake. He will get his "party" later this month or next and also get to invite a few of his guests to spend the night. We are downsizing the spend the night party. The last couple of years we've had anywhere from 10-16 boys spend the night. They tend to want to stay up all night in the basement and keep waking up "Papa Bear" upstairs. Talk about grumpy!!! I think 4-6 will be much better. At least maybe they will stay confined to the basement.
