Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a very happy new year. Our Christmas holidays were full of joy spending time with our families. We had Jim's family here with us for Christmas...Mema, Pop, Julie, Chris, Sean, Paige, Jeff, Valerie, and Will. It is so much fun having all of the kids together for Christmas. They were very excited on Christmas Eve putting out the "reindeer food" and then had lots of fun Christmas morning playing with their toys and opening presents. The little kids were really into opening presents this year. On Christmas afternoon most of us went to see National Treasure: The Book of Secrets. Julie opted to stay home with the little ones and babysit. Jim, Alex, and I left the movie and went straight to the airport to pick up Chelsea, our 13yr. old cousin (more like a niece to me) who flew in from Charleston to spend a few days with us. Jim's family left on Wednesday and then on Friday we drove down to my Mom's house to spend the weekend with my family. Along with my sisters & their families and my Grandmother who lives with Mom we had my Aunt Sally, Aunt Evelyn, and cousin Donny visiting. My Mom's other sister, Aunt Mary Lou, just died from cancer complications on 12/17/07, so it was very special to have my aunts with Mom and Grandma. All of the cousins had fun playing together. We are all only together a few times a year.
My wish for each of us this year is to spend more time together. We have no guarantee of a tomorrow, so lets make the most of today. We need to make time to spend with the ones we love.
