It's Party Time!!!

Kellie had a very big weekend. Her 1st birthday was Saturday, February 4th. Her Grandma Bernice, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Shannon, Jay, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Paul, Cody, and Amber all came to visit and spend Saturday night with us. On Sunday morning Mema, Pop, Aunt Julie, Uncle Chris, Sean, and Paige came to visit and play. Kellie's birthday party started at 2pm. Her cousins Greg, Jo Ann, Claire, and Margaret, and our friend Tracy, along with all of our family that was visiting attended the party. So, when you add Mama, Daddy, Alex, and Blake, you have a big party going on. We sure did miss seeing Uncle Jeff and Aunt Valerie. They live a little too far away (Ft. Worth, TX) to drive over for a party. If Uncle Jeff's schedule works out with a good flight, we hope to see them later this month. They haven't seen Kellie in person yet, and it's time we made a trip to Texas.
Kellie handled all of the hugs and kisses like a pro. There was just too much going on for her to want to take her naps. She finally went down for her morning nap around noon today. She woke up just in time to get ready for her party. We had a great time and a lot of cake and ice cream. Kellie had picked out Strawberry Shortcake invitations, so she also got a S.S. cake. Kellie wanted to thank everyone for coming to her party and for the wonderful gifts. All of her guests were gone by around 4:30pm. We made an appearance at a neighbors Superbowl party for a few minutes, then came home to settle down. She had a bottle and then crashed. She is still napping. I guess if I want her to sleep tonight I need to go wake her up.

Kellie was sick on Friday running a fever and not feeling well. I took her to the doctor to make sure she didn't have an ear infection or something contagious. The doctor said it was just a viral thing that would be over by Saturday. The good thing was that Kellie had gained 9 oz. in 1 1/2 weeks. She weighed 18.2 lbs. The doctor and nurse also said that she is doing great. They couldn't believe how much more she is doing than just a little over a week ago. She is catching up fast.
Now to go wake up Kellie.
