Rain-Out
We got up at 6:20am this rainy Saturday morning to get ready to go to Blake's baseball tournament in Jonesboro. Even though it was raining here, and scheduled to rain all day today all around Atlanta, the tournament officials didn't call off the game early this morning. We met our team at McD's on Hwy. 74 in Tyrone at 8am to leave for Jonesboro. Blake's first game was scheduled at 10am, then another at 2pm. AFTER everyone arrived the coach got a call from the officials stating that today's games had been cancelled. He said they may start the tournament early tomorrow, Sunday morning. Its supposed to rain all day today. Unless their fields drain quickly and dry out, we will be having a muddy game tomorrow. Weather.com states it should be dry tomorrow and a pretty day, we'll see. Now, what are we going to do the rest of this rainy day???????
On the way home this morning we stopped at Blake's elementary school where one of our neighbors is having a big consignment sale. They had tons of stuff filling the gym. We bought a few things for Paige, Sean, and Kellie. I wish I had known what Jeff and Valerie needed for the baby. They had a lot of baby items there. I called Julie and Chris and woke them up to find out what size Sean and Paige are wearing. I figured it was wayyyyyyy too early to be calling and waking Jeff and Valerie up on a Saturday morning since they are an hour behind us.
Jim called this morning and thought he was going to give me a wake up call, but my alarm had already gone off. They had all been out shopping. He has been shopping at the Ferragamo store while I've been home shopping at a consignment sale. BIG difference. He said he bought a surprise for me, but wouldn't tell me what. I can't wait to see it. One of the guys (from Italy) in his group works for Ferragamo. He has also been trying to find some things for the kids. I think he is having fun being out with his group shopping and site seeing. He just went to bed (Sat. night). Most of the group is not scheduled to flight to Shanghai until tomorrow night, but he a few are trying to change their tickets to leave in the morning. They don't want to get in so late at night and have all of the delays and problems they had earlier this week. He won't find out until in the morning if he can change his ticket, the office had already closed this afternoon.
Friday (yesterday) was the prettiest day we've had all week. The boys went over to friends' houses. They enjoyed playing outside for a change. Later Grandma, Kellie, Alex, and I went to PTC to get some 1 hour pictures developed at the super "W". Alex bought a new skateboard deck at Fat City. We also had ice cream at The Marble Slab. Kellie likes cheesecake ice cream with raspberries "marbled" into it. Deeeeeeelicious!!!
