Relieved!

My hand surgery went well on Friday. (I'm sitting here pecking one handed.) I had a nerve block for my left arm and was semi-awake during surgery. My arm was completely "dead" until about 4am Saturday morning. Not only could I not feel anything touching it, but I couldn't move my left fingers or arm at all...except with my right hand. I thought the tingling sensation was very annoying until it was replaced with the pain. My hand and wrist is bandaged well, like a small cast. I go to the doctor Friday to get this taken off and I guess the sutures taken out. (I now have two screws in my wrist.) I'll get the actual cast put on Friday.

Today we had Blake's trial. God is good. Turns out the judge didn't have to hear from the witnesses that came. He said that the broken ruler didn't meet the requirements of a weapon (or for felony charges), so the boys pleaded guilty to a milder misdemeanor charge of "causing a disturbance" on the school bus. The judge told them their punishment, told them not to talk about it to anyone, and sent them back to school. We are glad this morning is behind us.

Oh, Thank God. The fact that he even had to go to trail is unbelievable. Our tax dollars at work....
